This Cookie Policy explains how CTRL-A Technical Services, LLC ("CTRL-A," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on ctrl-a.io, what each one does, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) and scripts that measure how a page is used. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of these.
- First-party cookies are set by ctrl-a.io. Third-party cookies are set by another company's domain.
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them.

Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with our pages (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement) to produce heatmaps and session replays. Text you type into forms is masked. We use Clarity only to find and fix usability problems.
Google Analytics runs in Google Consent Mode. If you have not allowed analytics cookies, it sets no cookies and receives only limited, cookieless signals.
Cookieless analytics
These tools measure traffic without setting cookies or storing anything on your device:
- Ahrefs Web Analytics counts visits using a temporary, one-way hash of your IP address and browser type that changes every 24 hours. Raw IP addresses are discarded.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics collects page-load and performance data without cookies or browser storage.

Some features load content from other companies, which may set their own cookies under their own policies:

Your choices
- Cookie banner. On your first visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics cookies. Analytics cookies are set only after you select "Accept all" or allow them under "Manage cookies." Until then, Microsoft Clarity runs without cookies. Your choice is remembered for 30 days. To change it sooner, clear your cookies for ctrl-a.io and the banner will appear again.
- Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary or functional cookies can stop forms, chat or the accessibility settings from working correctly.
- Google Analytics opt-out. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
We do not sell personal information collected through cookies, and we do not use cookies for targeted advertising.
How long we keep analytics data
Cookie lifetimes are listed in the tables above. Analytics data held by our providers is kept for no more than 14 months and then deleted or anonymized.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the tools on our site change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised.
